Describe the layout in ordinary words
A single refrigerator-freezer, paired columns and a separate drawer unit need different model information. Tell us how many doors or drawers belong to the affected appliance and whether each has its own controls. There is no need to estimate the model from a cabinet measurement.
For a full-size refrigerator, distinguish the fresh-food section from the freezer. If the problem is only with ice production, mention whether cooling otherwise appears unchanged so that issue can be discussed specifically.
Look at closure without adjusting the hardware
A drawer that will not finish closing or a door that rubs the adjacent cabinet is worth reporting. Check only for obvious loose items in the way. Do not alter panel alignment, hinges or the installation to see whether cooling improves.
Note the displayed setting and any alert. A selected temperature is a target, not a complete account of what is happening inside the compartment.
Before service at your address
Keep the unit installed and clear the space in front of it. For a Hell’s Kitchen apartment, include the correct entrance, stairs and access contact. Call to discuss the model, diagnosis charge and available appointments.
If stored items are no longer being kept appropriately cold, arrange suitable alternative storage rather than relying on a scheduled visit to resolve that immediate problem.
A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
Before your service visit
Can an undercounter refrigerator be assessed alongside the main unit?
Discuss both units when calling and provide their models if available. They should be treated as separate items in the proposed scope of work.
Does a warm drawer mean its thermostat is bad?
Not by itself. The temperature complaint, closure, controls and operating behavior need an assessment before a component is selected.
