Keep cookware observations with the zone

Tell us which zone you used and whether the concern appears with one pan or with cookware that previously worked normally. Follow the exact model's cookware guidance. Do not treat every nonheating zone as the same problem or apply gas-burner advice to an induction surface.

If the range uses gas or dual fuel instead, identify that configuration when calling. “Wolf range” covers more than one cooking system, and the model is more useful than the appearance of the controls.

Explain any oven issue independently

Record the cavity, cooking mode and whether the problem appears during preheat or later. Include an existing error message and any recent power interruption. Normal oven lights or display activity do not establish normal heating.

Stop using cracked, sparking or otherwise unsafe equipment. Leave the range connected and installed; do not open control panels or move it to investigate a supply problem.

Arrange service for your Kips Bay home

Provide the exact address and building access details before settling on an appointment. Clear loose items near the range and allow hot surfaces to cool. We review availability and diagnostic charges with you, then discuss any repair recommendation after assessment.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS

Before your service visit

Does a pan-recognition message mean the range needs a new control?

Not by itself. The model, cookware guidance, affected zone and appliance behavior need to be considered before selecting a repair.

Should I try every pan on every zone before calling?

You do not need to run a test routine. Describe what you already observed during normal use and avoid further operation if the surface is damaged or behaving unsafely.
