Follow the affected compartment
Tell us which door or drawer you opened, what was stored there and what changed. Note the displayed information without repeatedly lowering the setting. A cool freezer next to a warm refrigerator is useful context, not proof of a particular failed component.
If the equipment has independent model labels, keep the refrigerator's details with the temperature complaint. Do not pull a column from the cabinetry to find them. An accessible owner document may provide the information instead.
Keep door and temperature observations together
Mention a door that catches, a panel that rubs or a visible obstruction preventing normal closure. These observations belong in the service history even when the main concern is cooling. Leave hinges, decorative panels and mounting hardware untouched.
The assessment needs to establish what the appliance is doing before any control, fan or sealed-system repair is recommended. A parts guess made from the temperature display can miss the actual issue.
Prepare for an apartment visit
Move loose items from the front of the refrigerator and describe the entry route to your Hell’s Kitchen home. Call 212-540-2172 with the address and model if known; we review access and current availability before confirming a visit.
Arrange alternative storage for temperature-sensitive items if cooling is unreliable. Waiting for a technician does not preserve food that is already too warm.
A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
Before your service visit
Should I give both column model numbers?
Provide the affected refrigerator's model first. If the freezer also changed, include its model and symptom separately so both concerns can be discussed.
Does a matching panel identify a Thermador refrigerator series?
No. Custom cabinetry can conceal different models. Use a label or owner document instead of identifying the appliance by its finish.
