Describe the mode you were actually using

Keep the chosen mode, cavity and timing together. An oven that never begins heating is a different complaint from one that preheats and then loses performance. If a display message appeared, retain a photo or the exact wording.

There is no need to operate every mode as a home diagnostic test. Tell us what you already know from ordinary use, and stop using the appliance if there is smoke, sparking, overheating or another unsafe condition.

Keep the surface-cooking history separate

For an ignition complaint, name the burner position and describe the behavior. Do not treat a working burner as proof that all oven functions are healthy. Mention whether the range is gas or dual fuel if the model documents establish that information.

A range that needs service should stay connected and in its installed position until access is assessed. Do not move it or open control compartments to gather more details.

Plan around the permitted appointment window

Give the actual Turtle Bay address and the building's service hours. If an elevator reservation is required, coordinate it with a confirmed visit rather than assuming a preferred time is available. Let the range cool and clear the work area beforehand.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS

Before your service visit

Can I use a different cooking mode while waiting?

We cannot establish safe operation of the other modes from a description of the fault. Explain the symptoms when calling and stop use if operation appears unsafe.

Should I buy an oven element because broil still works?

No. The difference between modes helps the assessment but does not identify a part without the correct model and diagnosis.
